Oil holds steady as US stockpiles shrink

Oil prices steadied on Wednesday, helped by industry data showing a surprise drop in U.S. crude and gasoline inventories.
Brent crude futures rose 21 cents, or 0.3 percent, to $71.33 a barrel by 00:02 GMT. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures rose 22 cents, or 0.3 percent, to $67.43 a barrel.
