The head of the authority and head of the central operations room for radiological and nuclear emergencies, Fadel Hawi Mazban, said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency that the authority’s emergency teams, early warning system, and radiation monitoring devices were fully mobilized and monitored developments moment by moment in coordination with the central operations room for radiological and nuclear emergencies.

He explained that “all possible scenarios, including the worst-case scenario, were studied and presented to the Prime Minister, and they were addressed with complete transparency and credibility by publishing reassuring statements through various media outlets.”
