denied Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday to have any role in his country ‘s referendum on the independence of the Kurdistan region of Iraq, last week.
Netanyahu said today that the Israeli statements were nothing more than expressing support for the aspirations of the Kurdish people, adding that “those who support Hamas would be uncomfortable to see the Mossad anywhere,” referring to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Israel Broadcasting Authority “Place”.
Netanyahu’s remarks at the start of the weekly Cabinet meeting this afternoon were a reaction to Erdogan’s claim that the Mossad had helped the government in Erbil to hold the referendum.
The province of Kurdistan and disputed areas, including Kirkuk, last Monday, a referendum on the independence of Kurdistan from Iraq, where about 72% participated in the referendum and voted 92% of them in favor of independence, amid the rejection of Baghdad and Iraq’s neighboring countries and many countries.
