Netanyahu nominates Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the nomination of US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.
During his meeting with Trump at the White House, Netanyahu said, “I would like to deliver to you the letter I sent to the Nobel Committee, which is your nomination for the Peace Prize. You truly deserve it, and you should receive it.”
Netanyahu added that he highly appreciates Trump’s efforts “to achieve peace and security in the world, especially in the Middle East.”
For his part, Trump, who received the letter, said: “I didn’t know about that… It means a lot to me that something like this would come from you.”
It’s worth noting that Trump had previously expressed doubts about his chances of winning the Nobel Peace Prize, but he nonetheless believed he deserved it.
It is noteworthy that four American presidents have previously received the Nobel Peace Prize: Theodore Roosevelt in 1906, Woodrow Wilson in 1919, Jimmy Carter in 2002, and Barack Obama in 2009.
