Representative Alia Nassif, on Sunday, warned of a “conspiracy” to drive out convicted terrorists through the General Amnesty Law, stressing that a lot of money spent on these groups was the first the government had to provide.
Nassif said, “Thousands of terrorists in prison are eating and drinking from the Iraqi people’s money and cost the state treasury millions of dollars.”
She added, “We are surprised by the government’s silence regarding the non-implementation of judicial decisions to execute the terrorists who killed the Iraqi people,” warning of a “conspiracy to get the prisoners out of the general amnesty law,” calling on the government to “provide the sums spent on terrorists in helping the poor and facing the financial crisis.”
