Today, Sunday, the Finance Committee of the Iraqi Council of Representatives directed a request to the Parliament Presidency to question the Governor of the Central Bank.
A document signed by the members of the Finance Committee, received by Sumarya News, stated, “We, the members of the Finance Committee, are the signatories for the purpose of hosting the Governor of the Central Bank due to a major flaw in the management of the bank.”
The document added, “Therefore, we demand that the Governor of the Central Bank be questioned in the nearest session and in accordance with the effective articles of the constitution and internal regulations.”
