Member of Parliament Mohammed Anouz confirmed on Saturday that the ongoing political activity within the main components before the ratification of the election results will be a contributing factor in smoothly deciding the selection of the three presidencies without repeating the delays witnessed in previous sessions.
Anouz told Al-Maalouma News Agency that “the return of the Coordination Framework forces to reunite after the announcement of the election results, given that it is the largest bloc within Parliament, and the agreement of its political forces on unified standards, will facilitate the process of selecting the next Prime Minister.”
He added that “the early dialogues being conducted by the leaders of the Coordination Framework with the main political components, before the final ratification by the Supreme Federal Court, will be an incentive for those components to expedite the selection of their candidates for the presidency of Parliament and the presidency of the government,” predicting that “the process of electing the three presidencies will proceed smoothly and within the constitutional deadlines.”
It is worth noting that Nouri al-Maliki, head of the State of Law Coalition, recently held important and positive talks with Masoud Barzani, head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, in Erbil at the latter’s invitation.
