Today, Thursday, the spokesman for the Sadiqoun parliamentary bloc, Mohammed Al-Baldawi, confirmed that the parliament supports the government in expelling foreign forces, led by the American forces, from Iraq.
Al-Baldawi told Al-Maalouma Agency, “The Iraqi government may be completely serious about the issue of removing foreign forces,” indicating that “most political forces reject the continued presence of any international coalition forces after September 2025.”
He added that “the withdrawal of foreign forces, led by the American forces, is a decision to achieve full Iraqi sovereignty, noting that the position of the political blocs is to support the government in withdrawing American forces from the country.”
He added, “Achieving sovereignty in Iraq can only be achieved with the departure of American forces.”
