Representative Hussein Ali accused Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani and the Ministry of Finance on Sunday of being behind the failure to send the budget tables so far.
Ali said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, “The government’s delay in sending the budget tables represents a clear violation of the constitution and raises suspicions about the existence of corruption and deals that pass without any oversight or accountability,” stressing that the continuation of this situation harms the principle of transparency and weakens citizens’ confidence in state institutions.
He stressed the need to reveal the reasons for the disruption of the budget tables and hold those involved accountable, as this is an essential step to protect public money and end what he described as “financial chaos.”
