Member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Hussein Mounes, warned today, Thursday, of the repercussions of the current financial policy, noting that Al-Sudani’s government is financing its projects and building bridges through borrowing due to bankruptcy.
Mounes said, “Al-Sudani’s government is now building projects and bridges with debt due to bankruptcy and the ministries have been isolated.” He
added that “Iraq will not witness any appointments or projects in 2026 because it will not be able to approve a budget for this year,” noting that “the next government will struggle to pay off the debts of the current government.”
