Shafaq News/ The Central Bank of Iraq’s total sales of hard currency during the past week amounted to more than one billion US dollars.
Shafaq News agency reporter stated that the Central Bank sold during the past week, for a period of five days, in which the auction opened, one billion and 113 million and 427 thousand and 782 dollars, at a daily rate of 222 million and 685 thousand and 556 dollars, up by 0.2% from what was recorded in the previous week, which amounted to At a rate of 222 million and 445 thousand and 585 dollars.
The highest sales of the dollar during the past week were on Sunday, when sales amounted to 231 million 347 thousand and 002 dollars, while the lowest sales were on Thursday, when sales amounted to 210 million 884 thousand and 357 dollars.
Sales of foreign remittances during the past week amounted to 813,291,189 dollars, an increase of 85% compared to cash sales, which amounted to 118,300,000 dollars.
Our correspondent explained that the sales went in the form of cash and transfers abroad to finance foreign trade, while the selling price of documentary credits and international settlements for electronic cards amounted to 1305 dinars per dollar, while the selling price of remittances abroad and the cash sale price amounted to 1310 dinars per dollar.
