Shafaq News/ The representative of the Sovereignty Alliance, Mishaan al-Jubouri, revealed on Monday, a dispute between the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hakim al-Zamili, and the Speaker of the Council, Muhammad al-Halbousi.
Al-Jubouri said in a tweet to him, seen by Shafak News Agency, that “Al-Zamili’s conflict with Al-Halbousi and his insistence that he is part of a presidency and not a vice president threatens the “Save the Nation” alliance to crack if the leader of the Sadrist movement Muqtada al-Sadr does not intervene.”
He noted that “the description of the Presidency was never mentioned in the constitution, and the Federal Court confirmed that there is no such thing as the Presidency of the House of Representatives, but rather the president and his two deputies.”
Official correspondence revealed a dispute between Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi and his first deputy, Hakim al-Zamili.
According to documents published by Shafak News Agency, below, Al-Halbousi directed to change the name of (the Presidency) in the official correspondence at the end of last month, but Ali Muhammad Hussein, the advisor of Al-Zamili, directed, through an official letter, not to change the character of the Presidency for violating it legally.
