A member of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Mahdi Al-Shablawi, stressed, on Friday, the need for the government to move to oblige the Washington ambassador in Baghdad not to interfere in the country’s internal affairs, pointing out that the ambassador has exceeded her position and interferes with every small and large in the work of the ministries.
Al-Shiblawi said in a statement to Al-Maalouma, “Washington’s ambassador to Baghdad, Elena Romanowski, plays a malicious role in Iraq by moving towards the ministries of finance, planning, oil, and institutions such as the Central Bank, where her interventions come to achieve America’s interests.”
He added, “There is an urgent need for parliament to move in order to limit US interference in internal affairs and oblige its ambassador not to travel and hold talks and discussions with ministries and state institutions.”
And he indicated that “Elena Romansky is no longer the ambassador of her country in Iraq, especially since today she interferes in every small and large way in the work of state ministries and seeks to impose America’s policy aimed at instability in Iraq, especially on the financial and oil level, which requires the government to speed up intervention and prevent the movements of this ambassador towards its institutions.”
