Assured US Secretary of Defense James Mattis, on Friday, he can not confirm or deny the killing of the leader of the “Daesh” Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, following reports that he was killed.
Matisse said: “If we knew we would say to you, but now I can not confirm or inve it,” he said. “We assume that he was alive until proven otherwise, which is what I can not prove now.”
The Russian Information Agency quoted Foreign Ministry as saying in Russia, he said that there is a high degree of confidence that al-Baghdadi was killed.
