sent President Fuad Masum, a congratulatory telegram to the forty – fifth president of the United States of America Donald Trump on his assumption of his constitutional duties, and wished progress and prosperity of the American people – friendly time, and for the Iraqi – American relations more strength and joint cooperation.
He said Masum told Trump , according to the text of the telegram received by all of Iraq [where] a copy of it today , “my own behalf and on behalf of the people of the Republic of Iraq, I express to Your Excellency and to the friendly American people our most sincere congratulations on your assumption of your duties as President of the United States of America. I wish you every success in achieving the aspirations of your country US and friendly people prosperity, peace and progress. ”
He added , “While we emphasize the depth of the strategic cooperation between Iraq and the United States of America relations at all levels, we are confident that it will see a new breakthrough in the coming period so as to promote the eradication of terrorism and service stability, peace and development at the regional and international level.”
He took the US president, Donald Trump, his post officially on Friday, after taking the oath.
