An informed source revealed that Massoud Barzani has agreed to resign and form a government of rescue provided that it is headed by Nechirvan Barzani.
The source said that certain parties are pressing the outgoing regional president Massoud Barzani to submit his resignation and the formation of a national salvation government,
Pointing out that ‘Barzani agreed to form a government of national salvation provided that his nephew, Nechirvan Barzani, head of the interim government,
He pointed out that Barzani mediated with the King of Saudi Arabia to open the door to dialogue and negotiation with Prime Minister Haider Abadi to solve the current problems and implement all what Abadi demands, but the second refused to negotiate and dialogue with Barzani and told the Saudi king that there is no solution with northern Iraq only Barzani’s resignation.
