Shafaq News/ The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, arrived in Switzerland on Monday to participate in the 55th session of the World Economic Forum in Davos, which is held this year under the slogan “Cooperation for the Smart Age.”
According to a statement issued by his office, and received by Shafaq News Agency, Masrour Barzani will hold a number of meetings with heads of state and government and senior officials from various countries of the world on the sidelines of his participation in the forum, and will discuss with them ways to enhance bilateral cooperation with the Kurdistan Region, especially in the economic and investment fields, in a way that contributes to achieving development and prosperity.
The Kurdistan House, which was opened last year under the direction and initiative of Barzani, will organize a package of events and activities this year that aim to introduce the region’s potential and available investment opportunities, in the context of strengthening the region’s presence in this prominent global economic forum.
The participation of the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government in Davos comes within the framework of his ongoing efforts to enhance the status of the Kurdistan Region on the international level, and to discuss issues related to the future of Iraq and the region in general.
This year, a delegation of businessmen and investors from the Kurdistan Region is participating in this global economic event, according to the statement.
