The legal expert Ali Al-Tamimi suggested, on Sunday, postponing the ratification of the elections until the resolution of the lawsuit and appeals submitted by the President of the Coalition Hadi Al-Amiri and other parties, indicating that the Federal Court has the full authority to ratify the elections in whole or in part and even cancel them.
Al-Tamimi said in a statement to “Information”, “After the Federal Court postponed the first session to consider the lawsuit submitted by the head of the Al-Fateh Alliance Hadi Al-Amiri with the aim of scrutinizing the appeals, evidence and documents accusing the Electoral Commission, which tampered with the election results confirms the existence of doubts.” The Federal Court has the validity of those appeals.”
He added that “the Federal Court has the full authority to ratify the elections in whole or in part and even cancel them,” adding that “it is likely that the ratification of the election results will be postponed until the case and appeals submitted by the President of the coalition Hadi Al-Amiri and other parties are resolved.”
