Legal expert Tariq Harb, on Friday, that the resignation of Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi does not need the approval of the House of Representatives, and pointed out that the current government will be a caretaker, pointed out that the nominated name is assigned by the President within 15 days From the nomination date.
Harb said in a press statement that “the resignation of Adel Abdul Mahdi does not need the approval of the House of Representatives or vote on them and is valid from the date of announcement,” indicating that “the current government will be a caretaker government and work to run the affairs of the Iraqi state.”

He pointed out that “the next step is the nomination of the largest parliamentary bloc for the figure who will occupy the post of the next prime minister and is currently according to the election bloc marching unless a larger bloc of official alliances submitted to the presidency of the parliament to be the largest bloc,” adding that “the name of the candidate is assigned The President of the Republic within a period of 15 days from the date of nomination, and has a period of 30 days to submit the names of his cabinet to the House of Representatives to give confidence.
