Called on the parliamentary legal committee to vote on legislation that oil and gas law, noting that it became possible after the visit of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki last to Arbil and the agreement with the head of the province to pass a law in accordance with the constitutional frameworks.
Said committee member Hassan al-Yassiri “The sharp differences that were between the central government and the Kurdistan region, on the law of oil and gas, was the obstacle to the enactment of the oil and gas.” He continued that “the Constitution says that the administration of oil and gas in coordination between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government and the issue is solvable.”
