The leader of the Islamic Dawa Party, Salah Abdul Razzaq, on Thursday, that the Vice President of the Republic and the leader of a coalition of state law, Nuri al-Maliki, is not insisting on the return to the premiership, while talking about the existence of candidates to succeed the current Prime Minister Haider Abadi, .
Abdul-Razzaq said in an exclusive interview (Baghdad today), that “Maliki is not careful, to receive the post of prime minister during the upcoming parliamentary elections.”
He added that “the talk, which is transmitted by the media, on the existence of candidates for the post of prime minister next, contrary to current President Haider Abadi, Facebook’s words are great, is not worth a response.”
He explained that “there is no dispute in the way presented in the media between Maliki and Abadi, but there are views on how to run the state,” noting that “Maliki provides consultations to Abadi, they are in contact with some.”
Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper published a report on the current movement within the coalition of state law, led by the current Vice-President, former Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and the movement of the rest of the early blocks in preparation for the upcoming legislative elections.
The newspaper quoted unnamed sources as saying that “the atmosphere of anticipation” is the ruling within the coalition of «state law» and the party «Dawa», which belong to both Prime Minister Haider Abadi and Vice President Nuri al-Maliki, where they want to «see his colleague outside the walls The Dawa Party, to get rid of the complexity expected, on the presidency of the next electoral blocs, where not accept either of them but to be the head of the electoral bloc ».
According to the newspaper, Maliki is seeking to “lead a broad coalition, whose task is to create a new prime minister controlled by Maliki, and that the latter tends to nominate the current Labor Minister Mohammed Shi’a Sudanese or former leader of the Supreme Council Adel Abdul Mahdi.
The newspaper quoted a source close to the “state of law”, which is likely to leave “independent” from the coalition, because its leader, Hussein al-Shahristani, “is not satisfied with the state of law because his members did not defend him after losing the post of Ministry of Higher Education in July 2016.”
Sources from the Sadrist movement, confirmed to the Middle East desire of the leader of the Sadrist movement Moqtada al-Sadr to participate in the list of «cross-sects», and Sadr on more than one occasion not to oppose the alliance with Iyad Allawi and the «stream wisdom» led by Ammar al-Hakim.

The source, who preferred not to be named, said that “without containing the influence of Nuri al-Maliki in the next elections, there is no way to reform the situation.” He believes that «this is possible in the case of the establishment of a good electoral coalition, because Maliki’s electoral chances are no longer as they were after losing the post of prime minister».
