Kurdish leaders expected in the Kurdistan region, the President of the region Massoud Barzani to resign at a time “very close”.

“But not to provide any candidate for the presidency, especially that the President of the region, Barzani, had decided for more than two years not to take office, after the end of his mandate, so suspended the High Commission, the elections in the region.
It was scheduled to hold the provincial parliament on Thursday to discuss the mandate of Barzani, but was postponed to Saturday.
The head of the parliamentary committee for financial and economic affairs, Izzet Saber, said in a press statement, commenting on the news circulated about the conversion of Barzani’s authority to parliament, said: “This is true, before we reach a political vacuum and legal will be distributed these powers between the parliament and the Council of Ministers” .
Barzani has not appeared before the media since the federal forces imposed law and power in the province of Kirkuk and most of the disputed areas on the 16th of this month.
The Kurdistan Regional Government announced early Wednesday a proposal to freeze the results of the referendum and open a serious dialogue with Baghdad according to the Constitution with the cessation of military operations.
