The State of Law Coalition considered, on Thursday, that the moves taken by the US ambassador to Iraq do not fall within the diplomatic contexts of her work, calling on the new government to have a position on these moves, which represent blatant interference in Iraq.
A member of the coalition, Muhammad Al-Saihoud, said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, that “the continuation of the movements of the American ambassador is tantamount to a violation of the diplomatic contexts that are not within the scope of her work,” noting that “it is imperative for the new government to have a position on these moves, which represent blatant interference in Iraq.” “.
He continued, “All international organizations and laws condemn and reject the interference of ambassadors in the internal affairs of the countries in which they reside, and we do not see this commitment from Washington’s ambassador to Iraq,” pointing out that “these moves are tantamount to interference in Iraq’s internal affairs, and we reject it altogether and in detail.”
The member of Parliament demanded “the ambassador to implement the provisions of the United Nations by respecting mutual relations and non-interference in internal affairs.”
The leader in the coordination framework, Fadel Al-Azirjawi, had previously spoken to Al-Maalouma, that “the ambassador is like Washington’s (spy) inside Iraq, and she is not entitled to conduct meetings directly with ministers or political parties,” pointing out that “this breach exists.” Only in Iraq and America had full guardianship over the country.
