Khaleda Khalil Rasho, a deputy from the Parliamentary Bloc of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, said that it is not possible to vote on the decision to remove the American forces from Iraq in Parliament, while revealing the reasons for this.
Rasho said, in a press statement, that “Parliament, as we know, consists of several blocs, and therefore one party cannot be singled out by the decision to remove US forces from Iraqi territory, and it cannot impose its decision on the House of Representatives because the decision in it depends on the vote and the consensus of political blocs.”

She noted, “The presence of the Parliamentary Sovereignty Committee can work politically on this issue if there is such a project. But we must take into account the existence of a security agreement between Iraq and America, and this agreement states that America is responsible for the political process in Iraq, and if it is violated.” It is responsible in every possible way to maintain the democratic system in the decision. ”

And Rasho explained that “voting on such a decision unanimously is very difficult because reality is one thing and the media is another thing in reality, and we cannot take the words of a certain party because it does not represent all of Iraq and Parliament and does not represent all the political blocs that have their orientations and agreements.”

“There is an interest between the two sides, it is not easy to abandon such agreements,” she added.
