Kobler welcomes resuming Iraqi Airways resumes flights from Baghdad to Kuwait

Baghdad (NINA) – The Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Iraq, Martin Kobler, welcomed resuming Iraqi Airways on Wednesday, Feb. 27, its flights from Baghdad to Kuwait after stoppage of more than 22 years.

In a statement on Thursday, Feb. 28, Kobler considered the move as a big achievement for Iraq and Kuwait that opens a new page in their bilateral relations.

He added that this achievement is the fruit of their continued efforts over the last years and month toward finding solutions to outstanding issues between them in the interest of their two people.

Kobler went on saying that the UN will continue facilitating their aspirations toward normalizing the relations between them.

On Wednesday, Iraqi Airways resumed its flights from Baghdad to Kuwait after stoppage that lasted for 23 years.
