More than 115 billion dollars achieved by Iraq during the year 2022, from oil revenues, to conclude its golden year, with the highest financial revenue achieved in its history, amid preliminary figures indicating that the total revenues (oil and non-oil) amounted to more than 120 billion dollars.
Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul-Ghani said, “The quantities exported for crude oil amounted to more than (1) billion and (209) million barrels, and the final outcome of the daily oil export rate was approximately (3) million and (320) thousand barrels per day.” , according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Oil.
The statement quoted the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil as saying that the export operations were carried out according to studies of the oil market for companies of various nationalities, including (Chinese, Indian, South Korean, Turkish, Greek, American, British, French, Russian, Italian, Spanish and Dutch) and others, as well as other Arab companies.
The minister praised the efforts of the employees of the Ministry of Oil and its formations for these achievements, which provided the federal budget with sums of money amounting to more than (115) billion dollars.
According to the accounts of the Iraqi state for the past ten months, Iraq may achieve non-oil revenues of $5.2 billion during 2022, and thus the total revenues will exceed $120 billion.
On the other hand, the accounts of the Iraqi state indicate that spending during 10 months amounted to 59.7 billion dollars, which means that during a full year it will reach 71.7 billion dollars, which means that total spending amounted to 59.7% of revenues, which means that there are more than 48.3 billion dollars in surplus funds.
