The General Company for Iraqi Ports recorded a significant increase in revenues generated from its ports and affiliated facilities, exceeding 630 billion Iraqi dinars during the first half of this year.
The company’s director, Farhan Al-Fartousi, told Shafak News Agency, “The total revenues generated from the ports and facilities affiliated with the General Company for Iraqi Ports during the first half of 2025 amounted to (630,767,873,355) Iraqi dinars.”
He added that “Umm Qasr North Port topped the ports in terms of revenues, achieving (288,325,690,352) dinars, followed by Khor Al-Zubair Port with revenues amounting to (125,884,355,292) dinars, while the revenues of Umm Qasr South Port amounted to (56,474,280,860) dinars, and Abu Flus Port (3,219,936,750) dinars, while Al-Maqal Port recorded limited revenues amounting to (11,192,475) dinars.”
He explained that “the Basra oil port achieved large revenues amounting to (138,443,810,518) dinars, while the revenues of administrative and service activities at the headquarters of the General Company for Iraqi Ports amounted to (18,408,607,108) dinars.”
He pointed out that “the revenues of the first half of the current year represent the highest level compared to the same period in 2024, which amounted to more than (486) billion dinars, which reflects a clear growth in the volume of revenues and the success of the approved operational and administrative plans.”
