Data from the Central Bank of Iraq showed that the bank’s foreign reserves declined to $80.633 billion at the end of July 2026, compared to $86.175 billion at the end of June, and $97.432 billion at the end of 2025.

According to data seen by Shafaq News Agency, foreign reserves in dollars decreased during the first seven months of this year by about $16.799 billion compared to the end of 2025, a decrease of approximately 17.2%.

The value of foreign reserves in Iraqi dinars also declined to 104.823 trillion dinars at the end of July, compared to 112.027 trillion dinars at the end of June, and 126.661 trillion dinars at the end of 2025.

In contrast, gold reserves recorded a slight increase to 29.665 trillion dinars at the end of July, compared to 29.415 trillion dinars at the end of June, but remained below its level recorded at the end of 2025, which was 31.488 trillion dinars.

Central Bank investments declined to 75.034 trillion dinars by the end of July, compared to 81.998 trillion dinars at the end of June, and 93.266 trillion dinars at the end of last year.

As for the cash reserves in the Central Bank’s vaults, they decreased to 124 billion dinars by the end of July, compared to 614 billion dinars at the end of June, and 1.907 trillion dinars at the end of 2025.
