It makes it sound like our 25K note will be exchanged for a new 25 note.] “delete the zeros” – is a translational issue. It simply means they intend to “take them out” of the market place. [does July still look good with the games Maliki is playing?] I think it is a legitimate time-line.

This is another lame excuse Maliki has used to stall this as he has for the last three years. I don’t think we will see the tariffs for quite a while which may work to our advantage.

7-7-2013 Newshound Guru Tlar Remember Iraq only has three tools to control inflation and to support the currency. The auctions, the tariffs and taxes and the exchange rate. By removing the tariffs as one of the tools they will have to depend on the other two more heavily. With the push to raise the value that we are seeing in the articles in the last few days, the pressure is mounting. They can…raise the value of the currency without the tariffs.

My World Bank contact, they do major construction for the Chinese, couldn’t begin construction because it will be financed by the revaluation of the IQD. They were told a week ago to get their bags packed it’s about to happen.

7-7-2013 Newshound/Intel Guru Arthur There was an article that said the deletion of the zeros would be postponed. Today we have several articles that debunk this. The Finance Committee and Parliament are demanding for them to delete the zeroes. Monday, Barzani will be back in Iraq, in Bagdad, which will be the last meeting to hash out the last details of the HCL. That’s how close we are, not saying an RV will happen Monday, but something we really need will happen on Monday.

7-7-2013 Newshound/Intel Guru Arthur The smart cards, according to an article from April, would go into affect at the end of July, 2013. The cards will be able to be used internationally outside and inside of Iraq. It would have to regulate to at least $1 or more. Have not seen any articles refuting that. This gives us a window. IMO, they do need Monday to get their house in order for final thing to be sewed up. So, it could happen any time next week. They are in a rush now. They have to be international by the end of the month. IMO, we are in a day to day basis.
