9-5-2014 Newshound/Intel Guru BGG [Will they seat the new government soon?] More than likely – give or take a day or two here or there – but they are headed the right direction (for now)… [Will they RV their currency soon after?] I know what the rumor mill is churning out. They very well may move on their currency immediately after seating the new government. Lord knows they need to. They are even in compliance with IMF guidelines now – so it is at least a realistic possibility (should they decide). However, is any of this a guarantee? No. Though, IMHO, I think the realistic chances are somewhere in the neighborhood of 70/30 to the good as a very short term outlook (once the new GOI is seated).

9-5-2014 Newshound/Intel Guru BGG What I have said – and still stand by…is currency reform will again be a very public topic shortly (should they not handle it immediately). The Finance and Economic committees in Parliament were screaming for this right before the elections. There are already news articles coming out (as of yesterday) in public again. One way or the other – this will get dealt with. Hang in there.

9-4-2014 Newshound Guru Breitling It’s very simple…Right when they put out the new currency…the notes you and I have…the indicator was the note count. What is the indicator we’re looking at now–with the insurgency and everything else? During all this the indicator is the note count. Watch the math and you’ll see what is coming down the road…it doesn’t matter what Obama says, ISIS does, or what Maliki does in the end you and I still have to watch the note count cause that will be the indicator…rainy day sunny day it doesn’t matter it’s always the note count.

9-5-2014 RUMOR Guru The main player is Iraq right now…Since 5am, they said the seating of the 32 ministers will be in the next few hours. That’s on all their media. Many dignitaries from around the world at there, waiting – over 100 of them. There are several locations that are prepped for everybody to show up and start announcing the government. The digital version of the Gazette says they will announce this in the coming hours. The US is absolutely ready, waiting on the starting pistol from Iraq. Many who have been fighting this are now extremely supportive of the situation…It’s still prepped for a 2 minute release. I fully expect this weekend to be super-fantastic. We are waiting on the announcement. Whenever that goes, we’re game on!

9-5-2014 RUMOR Guru You should be excited – it’s a super-fantastic day, weekend, next week. Yesterday we were told it was supposed to take place between 8 and 10, don’t know if that’s our time or their time. The only thing we hear they are waiting for is the end of the NATO Summit, which just closed, and a few more arrivals from that NATO conference. The good news is they are not saying in the coming days or weeks, but in hours. We know people who have used their Qi cards at more than three dollars. We have said several times that it is loaded internationally at a consistent rate of $3+. There is not going to be any LOP, not going to be 10 cents, not going to be 90 cents or one-to-one. This is the best place we’ve ever been in, according to all the media. By Tuesday at the latest, the nightmares will be over and the dreams will begin.

9-5-2014 Intel Guru TD Comments from my Kurdish friend to share but as always treat as rumor… Exhausting negotiations going on between all parties to name all cabinet seats and looks like it will go down to the wire. Another hurdle is getting the necessary votes in parliament to approve all. Check back in my earlier posts where I indicated October/November timeframe for a stable & functioning government to be formed and this is still a realistic (but difficult) agenda to carry out. The wild card of influence to get a government formed is the USA and others who are demanding action be coupled with assistance.

9-5-2014 Newshound Guru TD Few rumors to dispel: Maliki is just hanging around as the “elder statesman”. He has no real might, influence or any political life left. Turki has not retired but it may be that he might if he is not in sync with Abadi and the new government’s agenda once the new government is formed. They are not on the same page on all economic reform issues but that’s nothing new in Iraqi politics. And the RV/RD/RI? Rumors saying that a contingent element of government formation is the RV. NO (says my friend) an emphatic NO! Word is Abadi won’t even address economic reforms and relative pertinent issues of such till much later when he officially gets the job of PM.

9-5-2014 Newshound Guru Stryker I have always said, the closer Iraq gets to a real democracy the more the ones that want to rule by dictatorship try to interfere. That’s right, the ones interfering most are Maliki and his supporters. See, if he can interfere enough and cause the 30 day constitutional timeline to expire then they can insist that the new President declare al-Abadi’s new government a failure and tryb to make him announce another designate Prime Minister. This is in no way what I believe is going to happen, matter of fact I believe that Abadi’s new government is very close and we could see a special session called at any time…
