9-28-2015 Intel Guru TD Just a few comments from my Kurdish friend (please treat all as rumor and please due your own sound diligence.) The Iraqis and the Kurds are very proud people and some of the articles of challenges they are all facing pale in comparison to the true conditions on the ground. Things are really tough to put it mildly. Abadi is losing support and a sense of “hopelessness” is weighing in on most ordinary citizens. There is talks going on again with the IMF for further help but this time it seems Iraq will not get any. The lack of reforms toward the growth of a public sector economy is reason número uno. Here in the short term it is more likely of a depreciation of the currency rather than an appreciation. Unanimous consensus my amigo says is that any appreciation is a long, long way off, at this point nothing should be anticipated in 2015 & 2016 as well. Way toooo much uncertainty and lack of stability.

9-28-2015 Intel Guru Frank26 [Looks like the banks are joining us in the Long Line.] Actually it is these Iraqi Banks…there are now a few of them…That are opening up and will cause Iraq’s MR [Monetary Reform] to…Open Up Too. …It will start to dismantle the LL [Long Line]. IMO…the rest of 2015 is to set up the banks in Iraq for DRS’s [Dr. Shabibi’s] MR in conjunction with the New Laws…the GOI did yesterday for today. They are busy preparing and passing LAWS.

9-28-2015 Newshound Guru Aggiedad77 Definitely some interesting news this morning…are we seeing an approach to the “day of reckoning” for the IQD…perhaps on a worldly scale…the Iraqi Official Gazette getting geared up for some good things…all those LAWS that have been talked about recently…Islamic Banks are coming…again more innuendos about security I think…watch for things to really start improving…IMO.

9-27-2015 Newshound Guru firefly The HCL is huge for the people of Iraq but not needed for the monetary reform! Question needs to be asked … What does the HCL have to do with a monetary reform? In country for the citizens it is enormous. Internationally…well it has absolutely nothing to do with it

9-27-2015 Newshound Guru firefly AML [Anti Money Laundering] is HUGE and was a must according to the WB and IMF. IMO it is the root for all the other international laws to come into fruition. I believe that the National Guard Law is just as important as the Investment Law. The HCL is huge for the people of Iraq but not needed for the monetary reform!

9-27-2015 Intel/Newshound Guru tman23 The elections and then appointments of positions in Iraq GOI was a mere game of musical chairs…same players, different appointed position…AND they did not begin to move into reforms until the poor population began demonstrating and was preparing to “burn the house down'” per se’… The reforms so far have been 99% cosmetic. They claim that after EID they will pass the laws that will enforce/re-enforce the reforms. The only one I care about is the investment law…once this is passed and new foreign contracts along with investment come into play…this influx of money and the accounting with/without 3 zeros will be the determining factor of which way the IQD moves.
