8-3-2014 Newshound Guru Millionday WE HAVE THE BUDGET TO BE ADDRESSED ON TUESDAY …AND THE COMPLIANCE PROMISED BY THE NATIONAL ALLIANCE TO HAVE A GOV FORMED BY ONE WEEK LATER — THE NEXT TUESDAY. SO THERE WE HAVE IT — THEY HAVE A WEEK LEFT ON TUESDAY. I HAVE SOME INK ON MALIKI AND I DO NOT BELIEVE THEY ARE MOVING FORWARD WITH MALIKI AS A NEW GOV OFFICIAL… [If the NA fails to nominate a candidate what are the ramifications?] THEY WILL BE GOING AGAINST THE CONSTITUTION AND WILL FACE THAT IN FEDERAL COURT I WOULD SAY AND THEN IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE CHOICE OF THE PRESIDENT. BUT HE HAS STATED HE WILL NOT PLACE THE PM — WE WILL HAVE TO WATCH – THEY ARE VERY CLEAR THEY WILL BE DONE SO I HOPE SO AND WE WILL NOT HAVE TO FIND OUT.

8-3-2014 Newshound Guru Tlar The SOL (State of Law) continues to say they are the largest block. They don’t want to challenge this in court because if they are ruled not the largest block then they will have lost. This is their last hurrah, their last stall to get immunity. Their last argument. So between now and Tuesday expect to see this argument get bounced around in the news not the courts. Tuesday the NA will present its candidate. He will come from the Coalition, most likely Mahdi.

8-3-2014 Newshound Guru Tlar The process of building a new nonsectarian government will be finished because Mahdi will quickly submit his list of ministers that have been pre-negotiated and pre-agreed upon. There should not be much screaming from the SOL (State of Law) the minute the nominee is announced because IMO, the heads of the SOL and Maliki will already be on an airplane to parts unknown having unsuccessfully not received the “real” deal they have been seeking from almost the beginning of this, which is immunity.

8-3-2014 Intel Guru TD …my prediction (as discussed with my sandbox friend) is October -November for a formed government to begin operating. Then from there (as Massoum clearly spelled out) are the adoption of laws, dealing with the security situation and resolving the numerous other agenda items. SO much work to be done AFTER the government is named. So what’s the deal with Maliki? In or out? His hope is to have enough power to call some shots from the sidelines. My contact indicates to me that Hussein al-Shahristani will emerge as the named PM. Of course, treat as rumor…

8-3-2014 Intel Guru TD What about the CBI? My guy indicates having some conversations with some CBI staff members recently and they are just basically sitting on their hands waiting for a functioning government to take hold. SO, as of now, currency reform, it is just sitting idle and depending on WHO gets into power, fresh ideas and policies might emerge for numerous programs to be revised and enacted upon. It just depends on who gets in. In tandem with the ruling power is how the CBI makes it’s moves. …regarding the estimated 30-60 Trillion (some even estimate more) and the reality of exchanging that many notes. Again my friend indicates that “everyone here (Iraq) knows that not all notes worldwide CAN or WILL be exchanged”.

8-2-2014 Intel Guru SteveI They are flat out of money to operate until the budget and HCL are passed and opened. This is getting very exciting to watch. This cannot and will not continue. All information we have is absolutely excellent. [can you tell us what you think/believe will happen in the immediate aftermath with our investment when parliament passes the budget? Will a new rate be released simultaneously? Will there be a waiting period i.e, budget appearing in the law library then rate release?] Personally from what we are reading and being told, it will be pretty much immediately. The CBI will just do their thing and you will not know in advance what it is or when, so you will just have to watch for it.

8-2-2014 Newshound Guru Chattels [ya think they might get this thing done this week?] hoping and thinking are not the same as you well know…i will be surprised myself. i question whether Maliki will give up and i wonder about the resolve of the Shiites. the nomination and voting procedures are very unclear to me…i know what their constitution says but there are errors and conflicts and lacunae throughout the Iraqi constitution. Sadly though the settling of the government does not assure us of our liquidity event.

8-1-2014 Newshound Guru Millionday “Safi said he ‘remained one week of the constitutional deadline mandated by President candidate biggest bloc to form the next government…” so there is one more week as of yesterday constitutionally to form new gov. my opinion is that they have the right president…if he is not going to use his powers to place who he wants without the go ahead from all parties that speaks highly of his character — he has the right but wants all to agree…he states that if he is backed into a corner without the pm being placed by all he will not remain in his position – i dont believe he would leave such an honor as it is but — to say that and demand the work to be done is a huge change from where they were with the past gov…i would not be shocked if they follow the constitutional deadline as we have seen that as a pattern lately.

8-1-2014 RUMOR Guru Bottom line, things are so freakin’ close and nobody knows why we’re not sitting in the money right now. Iraq is done with their holidays and festivals. Everybody has been voted on but they haven’t revealed it. In Iraq a lot of stability has been brought to the situation with ISIS and other nefarious guys. Celebrations are planned for tomorrow and everybody is quite happy with themselves in Iraq. In the USA, the Administration is ready. Banks are cued up on high alert. There’s really not much left to do. We’re just sitting here. [Several gurus are saying it won’t happen until 8/8.] I find it very difficult to understand how it could last that long. Everything looks phenomenally good. I honest-to-God don’t know why it hasn’t happened but we are right there.

8-1-2014 Newshound Guru Kaperoni “Working Party on the Accession of Iraq – Membership and Terms of Reference – Revision” Ok, I don’t know what this document is. But I assure you, Iraq is not ready nor have they received accession into the WTO… they don’t have the laws to support global trade nor a convertible currency. Accession will come later. I believe their are like 8 steps to accession. What this WTO post appears to be is graduation to step 8. Which is not accession, but the final faze…which still contains all the conditions set forth before. This basically puts it all on Iraq. The WTO has said, as soon as you do what is required you can have full accession because you have met the previous seven stages. Remember the list is at least…tariffs, laws, currency convertibility, less dependency on oil, etc. So Iraq has work to do, but this is an incentive for them for sure. IMO, Iraq is still a year or two out before they will fully join the WTO.

This is just a posting of a note on the file. There was a similar note posted back in December of 2009…people saying Iraq is a member of the wto, wrong.

There is much fanfare prior to ANY country reaching full membership status in the WTO. It actually takes several months from submission of the final report by the working party. IMO we will know when Iraq is close and it’s not today.

8-1-2014 Newshound Guru Aggiedad77 I believe strongly that the events from Iraq could be most interesting to watch unfold for this weekend…maybe a little slow and dry at the beginning…but starting tomorrow…it could be an interesting love/hate story in the works.
