8-29-2014 Intel Guru TD Comments to share from my Kurdish friend today: While there is considerable progress being made in formation of a new government it is NOT yet complete. It should by all indications be named (cabinet members) few days before the deadline. Then Parliament must vote and approve everyone and at this time getting the (moderate) Sunnis on board with all remains incomplete. Masum is reaching out daily to Sunni leaders to get on board. The alternative of an ISIS state for moderate Sunnis is frightening so chances look good but the Sunnis really want a BIG PART OF THE ACTION.

8-29-2014 Intel Guru TD Abadi a PHD and having an engineering background is very calculating in his approach and will gel the state, revitalize the economic reform programs and eventually help all Iraqi’s with a better standard of living. All in due time and my contact indicates all this will play out over many months to come. But at least they have hope and determination. The BIG WRENCH in all this is indeed ISIS and the security situation. Abadi, Turki and others will move in a responsible fashion as the dust settles BUT THIS IS A SLOW MOTION PICTURE OCCURRING IN REAL TIME.

8-28-2014 Newshound Guru Tlar The slowdown has been “trust”. The Sunni’s and the Kurds having been burned by the last Shia government want certain guaranties. That’s what the Abadi government will give them tomorrow in the way of documents (contracts) signed and submitted to the judiciary for safe keeping. Abadi has fought this battle of trust for two weeks and it definitely slowed the process. He has the Ministries done but he does not have agreement on a vote as of yet to finish this. Tomorrow should be our crowning glory and will satisfy the needs of the Sunni’s, Kurds and the CBI.

8-28-2014 Newshound Guru Tlar The CBI has been ready to do monetary change and get the ball rolling. They have patiently been waiting since July 1st but can’t wait much longer. Quite simply they need the money because in addition to normal payments coming due, this government has a war to finance. There is really more to it than what I just said but that’s all I can say for now. So, as long as these documents are signed and they are registered with the courts, the CBI will consider the government formed and the plan is to pull the trigger before our Tuesday (their Monday night).

Both are the ones pushing this and the government and the CBI wants this done either on or before our banks open on Tuesday (meaning their Monday night). The rate is still $3.71 at this time but there is something that might make it come out a little higher than that by about 20 cents. If what is supposed to happen happens, you will be very happy Tuesday morning. …I hope this information is the last from me before…the RV email. I am bringing only what I am hearing is going on.

8-28-2014 Intel Guru SteveI FYI, Maliki is not and will not be a part of this new government, period. Not now or probably ever as he is now history. Just let the new Prime Minister finish his role and then Maliki’s name will be a distant past. The progress so far has been amazing and I am sure looking forward to next week when this part is done and the next task is at hand. Yep, the budget. [Do we have to wait for Parliament to come back in Sept. to get the Budget passed?] Yes. [Just trying to figure out what is still necessary before RV.] …we all really do not know the exact date and time, however…As for what is necessary…the budget has to be passed along with the HCL. They will be done together. We are almost there folks. It will be a bit longer.

I JUST TALKED TO BAGDAD AND THEY SAID THAT SOME OF THE PEOPLE HE NOMINATED HAVE NOT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED THEY WILL ACCEPT THE NOMINATION. THEY SAID THE BANK PERSONNEL ARE BEING TAUGHT TO USE THE NEW RATES IN MAKING CHANGE AND USING THE NEW COINS. THE DATE OR RATE TO THE PUBLIC HAS NOT BEEN TALKED ABOUT OPENLY. I ASKED THEM TO ASK THE BANKERS (TELLERS ) WHAT RATE THEY WHERE PRACTICING WITH. HE SAID HE WOULD BE BACK IN THE BANK SUNDAY AND WOULD ASK THEN.

8-28-2014 Intel Guru SteveI I just got a call from [Guru] Ray and it is now official. The new Prime Minister has picked and named all of his new ministers and the cabinet is now complete. It was on Iraqi tv and it will be made official to the press and news media Friday morning (Iraqi time). This is the best news yet. The next thing on the parliament’s agenda is the budget and HCL, and after that passes, we all know what to expect.

Fact check, as you can see, “Guru Ray”, got bad info again, the GOI has not been formed, read the news, not some guru with “contacts”.

8-28-2014 Newshound Guru Kaperoni Article: “The most prominent leaders of the Dawa Party .. reveals Maliki scheme to restore the third term!” I am very optimistic that the new National Alliance will form a new GOI within the timeframes. Certainly the news coming out of Iraq seems to support that success. But we would be foolish to simply dismiss Maliki or his influence until he is officially gone. He has proven over the last 8 years what he can do.
