6-8-2014 Newshound Guru Kaperoni Article: “The provincial government plans to issue currency in cash to complete the steps to secede from Iraq” Quote: “The process of issuing its own currency province of Kurdistan has been the subject of discussion in the parliament session, which was held last Wednesday…” It could be a bluff to get the oil agreement done and new goi formed. Clearly, the Kurds are frustrated for whatever the reasons…they are being held back for years.

6-8-2014 Newshound Guru Kaperoni I think everyone who is invested in the dinar has seen how the Kurdistan region has flourished. They did things right from the beginning back in 2003 setting security in place and building from there. They are years ahead of the rest of Iraq…issues between the central government and Kurdish region have gotten worse of late, not better. Let’s hope for all of us this is a bluff and motivation to get some sort of agreement on oil done soon, a new central government formed and the goal…economic transition to a market economy. I don’t think the Kurds are going to wait much longer.

6-8-2014 Intel Guru TD For the 2nd time now I’ve received info that Maliki will be announced this coming week as PM. He is brokering deals as we speak with the rich & powerful. He’s desperate to hang onto power as he will face corruption charges otherwise. The Kurds are NOT bluffing : cessation is real!! Escalation of violence, parliament still trying to find it’s footing as a legislative body, significant laws on standby. This is NOT the recipe of stability anyone wants. As I said at the start of June that this month will come & go WITHOUT fanfare relative to the dinar & currency reform and THAT is a realistic scenario. There’s too much still to work thru.

6-8-2014 Newshound Guru chattels […no budget for today?] i never thought there would be a budget today or any of the other days forecasted by some. Maliki, the budget, oil, all are politically intertwined it appears…i never believed that the news of it was anything other than rhetoric. IMO, there is NO WAY that there will be a budget vote by this Parliament.

BUT IT WILL HAPPEN.

6-7-2014 Newshound Guru Stryker Quote: “the House of Representatives approving the budget bill so as not to be a black spot in the history of the current session of the Iraqi parliament.” If this is true and they can get it done before the June 14th Turki should have everything he needs for the economic situation to be right for the country, especially since OFAC has already terminated the prohibitions under Obama’s new executive order amending EO 13303. Now we just need to see the political situation be correct for the country so Governor Turki can implement the reform program …the ratification of the election results should be announced between Tuesday the 10th and Saturday the 14th…Next week should be a very telling week for us…

They need to get the new parliament in session and get these laws passed.

6-7-2014 Newshound/Intel Guru BGG Article: “Supreme Council denies al-Maliki to negotiate five ministries compared to the third term” I don’t think there is any validity to Maliki promising Hakim any such 5 ministries… First, that would be too much control for him to hand over to anyone. Second, Hakim has been staunchly opposed to any future rulership of Maliki. Third, there is a consistent theme of Hakim meeting with other leaders and Maliki – but in confirmation of this article, he refuses to even entertain conversation of a 3rd Maliki term.

6-7-2014 Newshound Guru Millionday [Any idea how long it would take them to make the transition to a market economy?] i would say with all they have in place that they are capable with the isx hooked up and headed for the omx platform that it could be anytime — the laws are in place and they are not under immunity any longer. they also have data entry and e-government in place and viable investors waiting at the bit. [What’s holding them up then, waiting for election results?] i would say the election results are done and they are meeting with the kurds to do the budget — distribution — hcl — article 140 -gov formation– i dont think they are waiting on this i just think they are doing this — the market going to the global platform is not work and labor effective without an actual reason.
