Parliament was in chaos that day, by all accounts, there was never enough MP’s to achieve quorum but here we are, still arguing about it. Iraq hasn’t achieved Parliamentary quorum since April, that’s over two months now and if they don’t get this deal straightened out by the end of Ramadan, Parliament will continue with the dysfunction. At some point, Abadi has got to start acting like the PM and get the judicial and legislative branches of his government on track. All you have to do to create political paralysis in Iraq is create a bogus complaint and present it to the crooked judicial system and all progress stops dead in its tracks. There are many who are opposed to Abadi’s plans regarding the reforms and so far, those opposed are winning the battle. Your move Abadi.
