I AM OF THE OPINION, THE RHETORIC HAS NOW BEEN DELAYED FOR A HALF YEAR, ENOUGH TIME FOR THE CBI TO GET THE RIGHT PEOPLE IN PLACE, BACK ON THE HORSE…AND THE NEW CBI ADMINISTRATION WILL ACTIVATE THE FINAL STEPS TO MONETARY REFORM…AND SMALL DENOMS WILL FLOOD THE NATION OF THE NEW IRAQ!

6-22-2015 Newshound/Intel Guru BGG …there is a VERY serious struggle for the soul of Iraq going on right now. I haven’t been saying Dr Shabibi is coming back next week or there is some “unseen” good fortune waiting just around the corner…at least they are fighting for the right side (for once) and talking about economic reform openly… this is vital to the future of Iraq (and obviously good for us)… instead of us having no real chance – as turned out to be the case during the Maliki regime. …and this is very good for us (the struggle)…the main three laws they need to set their way straight are stymied for the moment. I believe they will get done fairly soon…none of which mean there cannot be a change in their currency FIRST – …1) the National Guard Law…2) the Fed Court Law…3) the General Amnesty Law…4) obviously the Investment Law (or Law of Investments) fits in there somewhere as well… more directly germaine to us than the others…all seem to be “on the brink” but still vigorously opposed by the Shia hardliners – herein lies “the rub”…

Shabs is one of a few that could do this right?] I think they have/or are getting close to the consensus they need to remove him…they could – but I kind of doubt that happens immediately…it is one thing for Dr Shabibi to write a critical OP ED – it is entirely another for him to step back in – especially with the unrest there… and run the show with Maliki lurking in the shadows. I would suspect he has some proof of Maliki financial crimes. He has to be some very serious threat for Maliki to have reacted to him the way he did. Of course – but there are options other than Dr Shabibi which are just as good for us.

6-22-2015 Newshound Guru Chattels I have taken the position for some time now, right or wrong, that DAESH is a real problem or the existence and survival of DAESH mirrors a lack of security and stability that tells us that Iraq is still dysfunctional.

6-21-2015 Newshound Guru Kaperoni IMO if they issue the 50k notes the clock for currency reform has then started. Why? Because they will reduce the note count by 50% (over a period of a few months) and that means they are in a position to begin the process to delete the zeros. If they don’t, IMO it would create a new set of monetary policy concerns. Especially since they said they will destroy the notes exchanged for this new larger note. There is no go back at that point. I still hold out hope the 50k comes out sooner than later…but if we have to wait to mid 2016 to see the dinar begin to rise, so be it. …they have made it very clear these notes will not just exist in the money supply…they are for purchase. Meaning you will have to give up two 25k notes to get one 50k. of five 10k notes, etc. this will not reduce the money supply, but will substantially reduce the amount of paper.
