3-22-2014 Newshound Guru Kaperoni the last few weeks several MPs are talking to the CBI…putting pressure on to get it done…A group representing several political blocs said that monetary policy has to be addressed even before the elections at the end of next month. we shall see. [Elections April 30 correct?] yes.
3-22-2014 Newshound Guru Kaperoni there was a temp agreement with the kurds to pump 100k oil per day while they negotiate the export agreement. i am hopeful they will come to parliament and start passing laws. if they do, i can see some changes but they need to pass those economic laws.
3-22-2014 Newshound Guru Red Lily IRAQ STILL HAS A SECOND READING TO DO ON THE BUDGET AND MAKE ANY CHANGES AND REVISIONS. ONLY AFTER THE SECOND READING CAN THE BUDGET LAW BE VOTED ON AND PASSED…IT SEEMS MALIKI DOES NOT HAVE A LEG TO STAND ON WHEN IT COMES TO SPENDING THE BUDGET PRIOR TO APPROVAL.

[Is that related to hcl?] yes, that is related to everything — sumo-budget-and the hcl being put in place. so that is the final agreement between gov — and they are able to move on to all other things.

IMO…Kurds got THINGS that will never be revealed to the world. IMO…M [Maliki] gave them A LOT because he was told to please the favorite son…And the son ran with it. [The magic question is why won’t or why haven’t “they” released the rate-yet. Must be timing-political. 3-21-2014 Intel/Newshound Guru Poppy3 The Turki situation – I still don’t know if I believe that this is true. He has followed Maliki’s every step and every request that he has asked him to do. Why would Maliki want to get rid of him? We have had the IMF, World Bank, the Bank of International Settlements and the UST want to get this RV done as bad as you and I and Turki wouldn’t pull the trigger. I believe that he is caught in a catch 22. He can’t win on an International level or and Iraqi level. If Maliki is fighting to get this RV done, we have the best manipulator there is and he is working for us now! LOL
3-21-2014 Newshound/Intel Guru BGG I still have reservations that Maliki getting rid of Turki is real. There still seems to be a lot of moving parts to this thing & I don’t know if they have really decided to do this or not. Turki doing everything that Maliki has wanted him to do may or may not be entirely correct. I’m somewhere on the middle on this. I think that he has been a useful tool to Maliki. He may not have done everything that Maliki has wanted but hasn’t hurt him either…he hasn’t been “in your face” like Shabibi was.
3-21-2014 Newshound/Intel Guru BGG Maliki needs someone in there now that will do his bidding for him. I believe it’s happening, we just don’t know the time frame, but it makes Maliki look really desperate. It is my speculation if this CBI move was geared around pro currency reform, pro votes, pro Maliki then he will do it later in the election cycle which is only 10 days away from really starting, supposedly April 1.
