10-27-2016 Intel Guru RayRen98 It looks like the Budget will have its second reading and then they vote it in as a final piece. We’ll see how that unfolds. Abadi has announced that they are in the advanced stage of retaking Mosul. We saw some information about Iraq being connected to 400 international banks, and you don’t do that without international currency. [ I don’t understand why we are on the cusp of a major revaluation but there hasn’t been one word on any of the media channels. Why is that?] I have no idea why they’re not talking about it. Some things have not been made public yet, that’s why I say “if and when” until it happens. I’m thinking it will happen by the first based on what I am hearing.

[Do you think the HCL will be passed along with the 2017 budget and be published at the same time?] They look to be moving at about the same speed.

And until they can demonstrate that they can manage the spread within Iraq, they will not get the green light from the IMF to exit the peg and move to Article VIII. …this is the closest we have been to reform since late 2012 when Shabibi was run off. Hang in there!

10-26-2016 RUMOR Guru Bruce Quite a bit has happen the last 5 days or so. We are in a situation where the actual market rate is quite high, more than we ever thought. The banks are all set, lock down security. Everything is in a go mode. The UN operational rates coming up again to take in effect November 1. At the end of the month they adjust then are visible on the first of the next month. …in Iraq yesterday now the Iraqi dinar is being traded and trying to get value up. Also the Iranian Rial reinstated their rate. The Dinar and Rial should go together at a value rate. The dinar information was printed in the Gazette and made known in the country of Iraq. The Gazette with this information is not available to us yet. Until we are ready to go, that information will be kept quiet. Iraq is ready, they are complete. Our belief is it is just about our turn to go.

10-26-2016 Newshound Guru Adam Montana FINALLY, at the tail end of October, we’re seeing the stuff we want. We discussed briefly earlier this month the OPEC push to reduce oil production. There are a lot of reasons for this push, and I’d say 90+% of the member nations understand and agree with it. But here’s something interesting… “The head of the National Alliance, said that “Iraq should be excluded from any agreement that aims to cut oil production,” attributing it to “the need for Iraq without the other for this exception being locked in a fierce war with Aldaasha terrorism on behalf of the world.” Iraq is getting massive support in the fight against ISIS. …this kind of agreement is a sweetheart deal for Iraq! Speaking of ISIS..
10-26-2016 Newshound Guru Adam Montana The fight for Mosul is making incredible progress, and I really don’t think they are getting credit for it like they should be! After a long run of half-hearted attempts to “attack” ISIS, they are finally doing it RIGHT. I expect to see huge victories in the next week or so, which is going to prop up Iraq’s support and credibility in the world, and is taking them where they need to go. I am disappointed to see that Abadi has not been successful in appointing those last few deputies: Article: “State law excludes the resolution of the vacant ministries next week” In fact, unless they directly oppose this ruling, it looks like next week isn’t our week either…we’re not likely to see an RV this week. However…I saved the best for last! Ready?
10-26-2016 Newshound Guru Adam Montana HCL FINALLY BACK ON THE TABLE! WOOOOOOTTT! And to go hand-in-hand with that MUCH WELCOME news, there is also this: Article: “Oil Minister announces the launch of 12 oil fields for development and investment” Seeing the parliament and ministries seats not yet filled was a little disappointing, but that’s just a time issue. If not next week, the following perhaps. And simultaneously we have a strong chance of watching the HCL unfold, become active, and then my friends we are off to the races! I’m not going to call the deed “done” yet, but I strongly feel like we’re almost at the point where it could really be “any day”.
10-26-2016 Intel/Newshound Guru Mnt Goat Very good news today to report. Again I say it is moving so quickly. Article quote: “the enactment of the oil and gas law is very difficult”, so it need a political agreement for the legislation there must be an agreement between all the parties and after the enactment of the Act.” Here come the HCL! Iraqi council of ministers knows they must have a legal law to administer the oil and gas policy in the country. This is much more than just the distribution of the 17% of the oil revenue to Kurdistan. I have explained many times…just how involved this HCL really is. This new law now also includes the Article 140 provisions. So now we see yet more news come out as they are meeting again on this issue and will continue to meet and change the draft HCL until it satisfies everyone and can be voted on. This is needed prior to any RV. It is closed [closer?] than ever and I believe they will be done with this law in the next couple weeks.
10-26-2016 Intel/Newshound Guru Mnt Goat Article quote: “The prime minister Haider al-Abadi, Tuesday, Iraqi forces engaged in “an advanced stage” of liberalization city of Mosul” Many wonder about the progress of the battle for Mosul. Well the article…is telling us that after only 9 days of fighting they are moving now into the final phase. I totally believe they will be done by the end of this week and move on to the reconstruction and resettlement phases….this does not automatically mean an RV. Does Iraq need security? Yes- and getting rid of Daesh certainly moves them to that goal. But remember they still need the laws passed. They also told us a target timeframe of “early 2017”. We still have not heard any news about re-education to the citizens or the launching of the lower denominations and this we know are the next steps they must take in the final rounds of the process towards any significant increase in the value of the dinar…the final phases of the long 5 year process in this effort to moving to the international exchanges… It’s coming.
