The US Department of Defense announced the signing of a contract with Victorus Systems to provide operational support for Iraq’s fleet of 34 Lockheed Martin F-16C/D Fighting Falcon multirole fighter aircraft.
The ministry said in a statement that the agreement, valued at $118 million, was concluded under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program, based on a direct request and funding from the Iraqi government.
She explained that an initial payment of $57.8 million was disbursed upon signing, and the company will provide support services at the Shahid Ali Fleih Air Base in Iraq, scheduled to continue until the end of November 2026.
