Iraq regains its membership in the World Organization Meteorological

Announced that the Ministry of Transport, received a letter from the World Organization Meteorological it includes a notification to lift the ban on Iraq ‘s membership in the organization, giving the right Iraq nomination for senior positions in the organization.
A statement by the Ministry of Transport Minister Kazzm Cup Hammami as saying that ” the Commission has received” a message through the Permanent Representative of Iraq to the Organization Assistant Director General Thaer Hussein include a decision to restore full membership of Iraq, including the right to vote elections and the nomination for the membership of the functional commissions of the Executive Council and the General Secretariat of the Organization.
He noted that “this achievement came after rebounds series and great efforts by the General Authority director Ali , the owner and his assistant Thaer Hussein,” pointing out that “continuous contacts with the secretary – general in order to give Iraq the opportunity to arrange the financial situation in order to pay off the accumulated debt of the past ten years . ” .
He praised the Minister of Transport, “this great achievement and a major step towards progress and prosperity of the Meteorological Authority and the staff of the Authority , ” calling them “payment and success in their great service to Iraq.”
