Iraq ranks 37th in the world in gold reservesThe International Gold Council announced on Saturday that Iraq is ranked 37th in the world’s highest gold reserves in July.

The Council said that “the world’s reserves of gold fell for the month of July by 79 tons from the month of June to reach 33 thousand and 734 tons,” noting that “the United States of America ranked first in the world in terms of reserves, which amounted to 8.133.5 tons, followed by Germany with 3.371 tons. ”

The Council added that “Iraq ranked 37th in the world in terms of these reserves out of the 100 countries listed in the international financial statistics of the global reserves of gold, and the fifth place in the Arab where it came after each of Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Algeria and Libya,” noting that “Iraq’s reserves of gold remained constant Where it registered 89.8 tons, representing 7.7% of the rest of the other currencies.
