Iraq offers contracts and investment opportunities to develop the agricultural sector

The Ministry of Agriculture revealed the intention to offer contracts and investment opportunities to develop the agricultural sector, while announcing the update of the investment map.
The Assistant Director General of the Investment Department at the Ministry of Agriculture, Hussein Ismail Hussein, told the official newspaper, “The Iraq National Investment Forum will be held during the month of March of next year (2025) in conjunction with the activities of the Agricultural Week Exhibition (16)”, indicating that “the forum will offer investment contracts with local companies that serve the sector’s development plans.”
He added that “the contracts will include investment projects in forests and vacant lands.”
He explained that “the ministry has an investment map that has been recently updated, in order to include new investment opportunities in the plant and animal sectors by the Directorates of Agriculture in Baghdad and all governorates, and to have them approved by the Minister.”
