Iraq offers 2 million barrels of Basra Heavy crude for immediate sale

A document released on Wednesday showed that Iraq has put up a tender for a shipment of Basra Heavy crude, to be loaded between September 27 and 30, according to Reuters.
The shipment amounts to two million barrels and will be delivered on board the ship, through a ship-to-ship transfer near the Omani coast, outside the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the document, the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) is seeking price quotes linked to benchmark oil pricing indices.
Thursday is set as the deadline for submitting bids in the tender.
