The U.S. Energy Information Administration announced on Thursday that Iraq’s crude oil exports to the United States exceeded 8 million barrels during July.

The administration stated in a table seen by Shafaq News Agency that Iraq exported 8.370 million barrels of oil to the United States in July, up from 6.433 million barrels in the previous month of June.

She explained that Iraq exported an average daily rate of 314,000 barrels in the first week of July, followed by an average of 273,000 barrels per day in the second week, 214,000 barrels in the third week, and then rising to 279,000 barrels per day in the fourth week.

Iraq ranked fourth among oil-exporting countries to the United States last month, after Canada, which topped the list, followed by Saudi Arabia and Mexico.

The administration also noted that Iraq ranked second among Arab countries in oil exports to the United States, after Saudi Arabia, which exported 9.393 million barrels, while Libya came in third place with exports of 1.488 million barrels.
