Iraq and the United States sign an agreement on the risk of chemical weapons

BAGHDAD / translation Baghdadi News / .. site said the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad on Saturday, the Republic of Iraq and the United States signed an agreement in Baghdad within the framework of the bilateral strategic cooperation to address the threat of chemical weapons.
The embassy statement said, “The formalization of this program is in the framework of bilateral efforts between the two countries to identify and reduce the risk of chemical weapons through the development of a national response plan and build the capacity of Iraq’s defense.”
The Convention recognizes the threat posed by chemical weapons and taking into account the capacity of the Republic of Iraq to respond to such a threat as the U.S. and Iraq Saokhman assess the risk of chemical weapons and the development of contingency plans to counter the threats of chemical, biological and implementation of exchange and training programs.
