Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian confirmed on Monday that the agreement between Iran and the United States is scheduled to be signed next Friday.
Mehr News Agency quoted Pezeshkian as saying, in response to a question about why there was no protest against the administration of the country during the war: “This was achieved thanks to the actions and efforts of the governors and the provincial governors… Everyone helped.”
He added: “The enemy thought that the country would collapse during the war and that the market and the system would collapse, but the situation was well managed and that did not happen.”
This comes at a time when an informed Iranian source revealed that the process of reopening the Strait of Hormuz will begin after the signing of the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States scheduled for next Friday, noting that disagreements over some clauses continued until the last moments before the announcement of the agreement, according to what was reported by the Iranian news agency Tasnim.
Today, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi announced the completion of the text of a memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States, confirming that two immediate agreements would come into effect as of dawn today.
Gharibabadi told Iranian television that the negotiations had taken a long time and were mediated by Pakistan and Qatar, noting that a Qatari delegation had arrived in Iran the previous day and held talks that lasted about 15 hours.
