On Wednesday, the Iranian news agency Tasnim launched an attack on Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, asserting, according to its own sources, that his meeting with American negotiators took place without coordination with the relevant authorities in the country.
According to a report by the agency: Araqchi’s calculations regarding the meeting with the American negotiator Steve YWitkoff are “a big mistake and contrary to national interests.”
She explained that: Araqchi must provide an explanation to the relevant authorities regarding his meeting with Witkoff, and that he did not receive authorization to deal with Witkoff.
Araghchi and Witkov held a meeting on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, and according to statements by US officials, the talks were “constructive”.
It is noted that the American delegation left during the speech of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, in which he affirmed that his country is ready for negotiations and that it is not seeking to possess nuclear weapons.
