Iranian confirmation: Mojtaba Khamenei was injured

Mazaher Hosseini, the official in charge of meetings at the office of the Iranian Supreme Leader, confirmed on Friday evening that Mojtaba Khamenei had been injured by an “explosion wave,” but that he has now recovered and is in good health.
According to the Iranian news agency Tasnim, Hosseini said that “Mojtaba Khamenei was injured by the blast wave, but he has now recovered and is in perfect health.”
American media outlets reported that the new Iranian Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, was seriously injured in the American-Israeli airstrike that killed his father and predecessor, Ali Khamenei, but that he was still fully conscious.
Mojtaba Khamenei has not made any public appearances since succeeding his father, and has only issued written statements, which has sparked speculation about his health and whether he is still alive.
