Shafaq News – Tehran
Iran’s Fars news agency reported on Saturday that explosions were heard near Iran’s Kharg Island.
The agency reported that an Iranian oil tanker in Kharg Island was attacked by an American missile.
No further details have yet been released regarding the nature of the attack or the extent of the damage, and there has been no official US confirmation of the incident.
US Treasury Secretary Scott Bisent confirmed on Friday that “the lifeline for Iran’s exports is being cut off, and it cannot replenish its oil stocks as they pile up on its ships stuck in the Strait of Hormuz.”
The Treasury Secretary continued: “No Iranian oil shipments have crossed the Strait of Hormuz into China since the reimposition of the embargo.”
