Iran’s news agency reported on Sunday that Tehran had sent its response to the US proposal to end the war to the Pakistani mediator.
The agency added that “the proposed plan focuses at this stage on the issue of ending the war in the region,” without revealing further details regarding the content of the Iranian response.
US President Donald Trump announced last Wednesday that “very good talks” had taken place with Iran during the previous 24 hours, and that it was very possible that an agreement would be reached, adding, “I think we have won with Iran.”
American media outlets reported that US-Iranian negotiations may resume next week (this week) in Islamabad, coinciding with the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s confirmation of the continued exchange of messages through the Pakistani mediator.
